How to invest in Serbia

TC ‘Usce’- FoodCourt,
Belgrade

TC “Ušće” is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable and frequently visited shopping centers in Serbia, characterized by its prime location and constant flow of visitors. Within such a dynamic commercial environment, the development of the Food Court on the top floor represented a particular challenge in terms of functionality, aesthetics, durability, and spatial organization.

SUCCESS story - design & construction 2015

Imposing FoodCourt.

Structura Concept was entrusted with the complete design and fit-out of the Food Court, covering an area of more than 550 m². The scope of work included conceptual design, detailed interior development, preparation of technical documentation, bespoke furniture production, and final on-site installation. The primary objective was to create a contemporary, welcoming, and visually distinctive environment capable of accommodating a high volume of daily users while withstanding the intensive use typical of such facilities.

Special attention was devoted to the organization of seating layouts and circulation routes in order to ensure optimal pedestrian flow and maximum capacity utilization. The space was conceived to offer a variety of seating typologies — from conventional dining tables suitable for families and larger groups to more intimate seating zones and elevated bar-style positions — thereby achieving a dynamic and flexible spatial configuration.

A defining characteristic of this project is the carefully balanced combination of standard, industrial-grade materials and solid wood, the latter being a particular specialty of Structura Concept in both design and execution. The incorporation of solid wood introduced warmth, natural texture, and authenticity to the space, while the use of durable standard materials ensured longevity, ease of maintenance, and long-term operational efficiency. This synergy resulted in a solution that is both aesthetically refined and technically optimized.

The overall design aligns with contemporary trends in commercial interiors, emphasizing openness, clean lines, and natural tones. Lighting was thoughtfully integrated to accentuate material textures, define functional zones, and create a pleasant atmosphere throughout the day, regardless of the availability of natural light.

The realization of the project required precise coordination across all phases — from conceptual development and detailed design to manufacturing and installation within an active shopping center environment. The Food Court project at TC “Ušće” stands as a significant reference for Structura Concept in the field of large-scale commercial and public interiors, demonstrating the company’s expertise in delivering functional, visually distinctive, and durable interior solutions for high-capacity spaces.
